Thanapol Limapichart is a lecturer in Southeast Asian History at Chulalongkorn University, Thailand. Holding a Ph.D. in History from University of Wisconsin-Madison, he currently teaches Southeast Asian History from the 19th to the 20th and Localization of Western Influences in Thailand, 1830s-1920s. His specializations include modern Thailand, particularly the 19th and early 20th, intellectual and social history, history of literature, print culture, and historiography. He is currently conducting a research on the history and ideology of “culture” in Thailand.
